Down Time

The Ptolemaios moves along at a steady pace. He had no clue where they where heading. He had no standing orders so it didn't matter to him. Wild Card sits at an empty table in the corner of the mess hall. He has his feet kicked up on the edge of the table and was looking off into the empty room. Staring through his feathery black hair he was lost in thought. It had been quiet as of late. That was either a good thing or a very bad one, it wasn't clear yet which one. He wasn't really hungry, but being in the mess hall was better than sitting in his quarters alone. He grabs his glass from the table and takes a few gulps.

A quick in and out, that's what he'd told himself about visiting the mess hall for a meal. He wasn't sure he was really up to the idea of socializing so he tried to be as discreet as possible. It was going to be a little while before they neared the staging point for the first armed intervention and their public unveiling to the world so he wanted to enjoy the peace and quiet while he could. He was wearing his typical black t shirt and jeans as he floated in. As he drifted in he noticed that Wild Card was seated inside as well. He gave him a polite nod and drifted to the serving station where he started to examine his dining choices. All of it was sealed in prepackaged meals.

"chicken...turkey...ham....or beef."

It was all essentially some kind of sandwhich a piece of fruit, and other assorted items. He sighed as he reached in and pulled out something to his liking. As he turned around he noted that Wild Card seemed a little lost in his thoughts. Against his usual method of operation he floated over and had a seat opposite him.

"What's on your mind?"

Wild Card felt the buzzing of quantum brainwaves as Luminous came closer to him. The buzzing broke him away from his train of thought. He took his feet down off the table and turned to face Luminous. Wild Card was wearing a light grey jacket with a white wife beater under it. He also wore a pair of grey, white and black camo print cargo pants.

"Sorry I didn't see you come in. I was just lost in thought. I'm eager to get going I guess. I feel pent up in this place. I want to be out in my Gundam."

He felt a quantum brainwave spike starting to build. He took a deep breath and tried to counteract the spike by completely suppressing his quantum brainwave activity. As he felt the spike ebb away he let the deep breath back out and opened his eyes. He wondered if Luminous felt any of the fluctuations.

"Sorry about that. I got a little worked up I guess."

Luminous shook his head, "No I understand, it's a little unerving being stuck in space so long. On the upside it looks like you and Feral will be deployed on Earth quite a bit, so you'll have that to look forward to at least."

He picked at his food a little though not really having his heart in the meal. After a bit he gave up and decided to save what was left for later. He'd learned to ration his food quite well after...He cut the thought off short and diverted his focus to something else.

"So...why the Dynames, how did they match you to it?"
